22 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Saturday and Sunday for cumulative total of 5,043

Mower County logged 4,902 confirmed and 141 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 5,043 since the onset of the pandemic, up 22 from over the weekend, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 44,352 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 616,300 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation. 

Olmsted County recorded 14,414 cumulative cases Monday, a jump of 56 from Saturday and Sunday, Steele County reported 4,319 cumulative cases Monday, a rise of 34 from over the weekend and Freeborn County confirmed 3,760 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 20 from Saturday and Sunday.  Dodge County now has 2,079 cumulative cases, up 11 from over the weekend and Fillmore County recorded 1,722 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up six from Saturday and Sunday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 1,673 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 635,222, and they added that seven additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from over the weekend for a cumulative total of 7,767 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 34,466 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the onset of the pandemic, and 7,006 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
