23 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County by MDH Thursday for cumulative total of 7,549

Mower County logged 7,298 confirmed and 251 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 7,549 since the onset of the pandemic, up 23 from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that the total positive cases for the duration of the pandemic, including reinfections, now total 952,232, and over 905,800 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 23,374 cumulative cases Thursday, a rise of 142 from Wednesday, Steele County reported 7,132 cumulative cases Thursday, up 33 from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,919 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 28 from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 3,775 cumulative cases, up 23 from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 3,173 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up 16 from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 3,754 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 941,057, and they added that 40 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 9,814 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 47,746 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 9,421 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
