30 for Freedom event to be held in Austin August 14th

The Austin Chapter of 30 for Freedom will be holding a running and cycling event starting at Total Fitness in Austin on the morning of Saturday, August 14th.  KAUS spoke with event organizer Danielle Nesvold, who talked about what 30 for Freedom is all about…


Nesvold went on to give some more specifics concerning the event on August 14th…

Nesvold stated that they are looking for more participants, and the race day schedule on August 14th will include check in at 6:45 a.m., a pre-run meeting at 7:30 a.m., a large group photo with runners, cyclists and volunteers at 8:00 a.m., the 30 mile ultra-marathon will begin at 8:20 a.m. that morning, the half-marathon will start at 8:25, the 10k begins at 8:30 and the 5k will start at 8:35.  For further information and to register, you can log onto the Austin 30 for Freedom Facebook page.  Over the last five years 30 For Freedom events around the country have raised $876,990.26 for sex trafficking prevention, rescue operations, and survivor care.
