35 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 6,103

Mower County logged 5,910 confirmed and 193 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 6,103 since the onset of the pandemic, up 35 from Wednesday, according  to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 47,523 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 700,500 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County reported 17,195 cumulative cases Thursday, a jump of 102 from Wednesday, Steele County recorded 5,520 cumulative cases Thursday, up 16 from Wednesday and Freeborn County confirmed 4,653 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up 31 from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 2,598 cumulative cases, up seven from Wednesday and Fillmore County recorded 2,180 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, a rise of 22 from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 2,674 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 732,001, and they added that 32 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 8,275 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 38,791 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 7,835 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
