69 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 5,868

Mower County logged 5,687 confirmed and 181 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 5,868 since the onset of the pandemic, a jump of 69 from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that 46,833 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 680,300 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 16,498 cumulative cases Tuesday, a rise of 152 from Monday, Steele County reported 5,298 cumulative cases Tuesday, up 67 from Monday and Freeborn County confirmed 4,454 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, a rise of 54 from Monday.  Dodge County recorded 2,527 cumulative cases Tuesday, up 24 from Monday and Fillmore County now has 2,082 cumulative COVID-19 cases, a rise of 32 from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 6,203 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 706,158, and they added that 11 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 8,109 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 37,670 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 7,644 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
