76 additional COVID-19 cases for cumulative total of 7,312, 160 active cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday

Mower County recorded 7,072 confirmed and 240 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,312 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 76 from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Pam Kellogg, Division Manage with Mower County Health and Human Services reported that there are currently 160 active COVID-19 cases in the county.  Health officials added that the total positive cases for the duration of the pandemic, including reinfections, now total 912,370, and over 874,500 people have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 22,258 cumulative cases Tuesday, a spike of 384 from Monday, Steele County reported 6,827 cumulative cases Tuesday, a rise of 99 from Monday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,596 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up 66 from Monday.  Dodge County now has 3,598 cumulative cases, a rise of 56 from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 3,043 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 34 from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 12,632 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 902,032, and they added that no additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state Tuesday due to deaths not being processed on November 25 and 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  A total of 45,680 COVID-19 patients in the state have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 9,081 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
