86 additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Monday for cumulative total of 6,699

Mower County logged 6,480 confirmed and 219 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 6,699 since the onset of the pandemic, a rise of 86 from Saturday and Sunday, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that total positive cases, including reinfections have totaled 797,984 since the onset of the pandemic, and 789,800 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 18,841 cumulative cases Monday, a jump of 172 from over the weekend, Steele County reported 6,039 cumulative cases Monday, up 57 from Saturday and Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 5,025 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, a rise of 54 from over the weekend.  Dodge County now has 2,830 cumulative cases, up 24 from Saturday and Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 2,581 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up 19 from over the weekend.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 10,454 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total fo 797,984, and they added that 25 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Saturday to Monday for a cumulative total of 8,694 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 41,392 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 8,367 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
