Adams man sentenced to supervised probation on felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court

An Adams man facing a felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that took place on May 22nd, 2021 has been sentenced to supervised probation in Mower County District Court.

41-year old Paul Phillip Anderson was sentenced Thursday to three years of supervised probation for a felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation.  A prison term of a year and a day was stayed for three years if Anderson complies with the 18 different terms of his probation, and he was convicted on the charge on November 24th, 2021 after pleading guilty the same day. 

Additional felony charges in the case for 1st degree burglary, assault on a person in a building on their property, 1st degree burglary of an occupied dwelling and for threats of violence in the case were dismissed with Anderson’s guilty plea.
