Albert Lea man injured in motorcycle accident in Austin Saturday evening

A motorcycle rider from Albert Lea was injured in an accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Austin Saturday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle being driven by 60-year old Brooks Daniel Fischer of Albert Lea was southbound on Highway 218 at approximately 6:17 p.m. Saturday evening when he lost control and laid the bike down on the road near the intersection with 10th Drive Southeast.
Fischer suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin. The State Patrol reported that alcohol was not a factor in the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office and the Austin Police Department assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Saturday evening.
