American Red Cross blood drives coming up in Mower County in April and May

It’s officially spring, and at the start of this new season, the American Red Cross encourages the community to play an important role in helping save lives by making blood donation part of their spring plans.  KAUS News spoke with Sue Thesenga, Regional Communications Manager with the American Red Cross in Minnesota who stated that now is a great time for everyone to come together and make sure that life-saving blood is available to all who need it…

Thesenga added that all information that one may need about giving blood, including dates and times of local blood drives can be found at redcrossblood.org…

All blood types are needed, and American Red Cross blood drives coming up in Austin in April include a drive at Austin Utilities on Tuesday, April 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and also at the YMCA in Austin on Friday, April 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Blood drives coming up in Austin in May include a drive at Crane Community Chapel on Monday, May 9th from 1:00-6:00 p.m., also at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Friday, May 13th from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and there will also be a blood drive at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin on Monday, May 16th from 1:00-7:00 p.m. that day.
