Austin Community Charitable Fund to receive Child Care Economic Grant from the state of Minnesota

The Austin Community Charitable Fund (ACCF) will be one of 21 organizations that will be receiving Child Care Economic Grants from the state of Minnesota.  

The ACCF will receive $250,000 from the $6.2 million grant fund.

Governor Tim Walz, along with The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), awarded the grant, which is expected to increase the capacity of the childcare program by 2,241 spots.

DEED’s Child Care Economic Grant program funds communities to invest in expanding childcare business, including facility improvements, worker training, attraction, retention and licensing, and other strategies to reduce the childcare shortage.
