Austin man injured in two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Monday morning
An Austin man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Monday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2013 Chevy Silverado pickup being driven by 20-year old Evan Wayne Hrabak of Austin was southbound on Highway 218 at approximately 7:47 a.m. Monday morning when he collided with a 2015 Chevy Impala being driven by 39-year old Benjamin Anthony Davis of Austin, which was northbound on Highway 218 near 175th Street in Austin Township at the time of the collision.
Davis sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment, while Hrabak was uninjured. The State Patrol indicated that both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, plus Austin Fire and Rescue assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Monday morning.
