Austin man sentenced on felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who recently pleaded guilty to a felony domestic assault charge in Mower County District Court has been sentenced to jail time, supervised probation and time in the sentence to service program.

35-year old Moss Kadaffi Paul Jealousy was sentenced Wednesday to 62 days in jail, five years of supervised probation and 40 hours in the sentence to service program for a felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation.  Jealousy was given credit for 62 days already served, and a 15-month prison sentence was stayed  for five years if he complies with the terms of his probation.

Jealousy pleaded guilty to the charge on April 16th that stemmed from an incident that took place on February 14th of this year.  Jealousy was convicted on the charge the same day.
