Austin man sentenced to prison time on drug sale, domestic assault charges in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who sold a total of 22.171 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant on four different occasions in Austin in November of 2020 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

39-year old Ernesto Angel Salinas was convicted and sentenced Thursday to 75 months in prison for a felony charge of 2nd degree drugs, sale of 10 grams or more of a narcotic other than heroin within a 90-day period.  Salinas was also convicted and sentenced Thursday to 30 months in prison for a felony charge of domestic assault stemming from an incident that took place on January 17th.  

Salinas first pleaded guilty to the two charges on June 3rd, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Salinas may serve the sentences concurrently.
