Austin man sentenced to prison time on felony charges of failing to register as a predatory offender, drug possession in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who had been held in the Mower County jail on felony charges of failure to register as a predatory offender and drug possession from incidents that occurred in Austin in October and December of 2021 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

42-year old Antonio Danquan Pitchford was convicted and sentenced Friday to 26 months in prison for a felony charge of failing to register as a predatory offender stemming from an incident that took place on December 10th, 2021.  Pitchford was also convicted and sentenced Friday to 17 months in prison for a felony charge of 5th degree drugs, possession of methamphetamine stemming from an incident that took place on October 21st, 2021.  Pitchford pleaded guilty to both charges on July 28th of this year, and Judge Jeffery Kritzter determined that Pitchford will be able to serve the two sentences concurrently.

An additional felony charge for failing to register as a predatory offender, and a petty misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia in the case against Pitchford were dismissed with his guilty pleas.
