Austin man sentenced to supervised probation, fines and fees for felony criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who sexually assaulted a woman at her residence in the 800 block of 21st St. NE in Austin early on the morning of May 2nd, 2021 has been sentenced to supervised probation, fines and fees, plus time in the sentence to service program in Mower County District Court.

21-year old Daniel Jim was sentenced Monday to 10 years of supervised probation, $1,160 in fines and fees and 100 hours in the sentence to service program for a felony charge of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim mentally impaired or helpless.  A 24-month prison sentence was stayed for 10 years if Jim complies with the 21 different terms of his probation, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge in October of 2021.

Jim was convicted on the charge on December 16th, 2021.
