Austin man sentenced to supervised probation on felony burglary charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who took part in the theft of $12,600 from under a mattress in the bedroom of a residence in the 18000 block of Highway 105 in Austin township on the evening of November 1st, 2017 has been sentenced to supervised probation and time in the sentence to service program in Mower County District Court.

40-year old Billy Lee Wright was sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation and 40 hours in the sentence to service program for a felony charge of 2nd degree burglary of an unoccupied dwelling.  An 18-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if Wright complies with the 25 different conditions of his probation, and he was convicted on the charge on September 21st, 2018 after pleading guilty in June of that same year.

A felony charge for theft, taking, using or transferring movable property without consent against Wright in the case was dismissed with his guilty plea.
