Austin Packers boys’ golf second at Owatonna Invitational Tuesday

The Austin Packers boys’ golf team traveled to the Owatonna Country Club Tuesday for a Big 9 Conference triangular with the host Huskies and Red Wing, and it was the Wingers earning first place by shooting a team score of 336, the Packers were second with a team total of 360 and Owatonna was third with a team tally of 382.

Individually for Austin, the Packers were led Tuesday by Eli Krueger, who fired an 87, Cale Tupy carded an 88, eighth grader Isaac Anderson followed closely with an 89, Izaac Erickson carded a 96, Max Bissen shot a 103 for the Packes and David Ide, the lone senior on the squad for Austin finished with a 106.

The Packers are back in action at a Big 9 Conference meet at Green Lea Golf Course in Albert Lea Thursday, with tee-off for the players scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
