Austin Packers boys’ golf team 7th at Owatonna Invitational Tuesday

The Austin Packers boys’ golf team traveled to the Owatonna Country Club Tuesday for a 10-team meet hosted by the Huskies, and it was the Packers finishing with a team total of 362, which was good for 7th place overall.

Albert Lea edged out Northfield for first place by shooting a team total of 320, compared to a 323 total for the Raiders, Egan was third at 331, followed by Rochester John Marshall close behind in fourth with a total of 335, Rochester Century took fifth with a 338, St. Peter was sixth with a team total of 345, followed by the Packers in seventh and the host Huskies in eighth place with a total of 375.  Mankato East shot a team score of 408 for ninth place and Winona/Cotter was 10th with a 424.

Cale Tupy shot the low round for Austin Tuesday with an 82, followed by Izaac Erickson and Elijah Krueger both carding a 93, Carter Hovelsrud fired a 94, David Ide finished with a round of 99 and Max Bissen tallied a score of 108.

The Packers are now off until the start of the two-day Section 1AA meet at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City on Tuesday, May 31st.
