Austin Packers boys swimming and diving team felled by Rochester Mayo 94-73 Thursday evening
It was Senior Night for the Austin Packers boys swimming and diving team at Bud Higgins Pool Thursday night as they played host to the Rochester Mayo Spartans in a Big 9 Conference dual meet, and it was the visiting Spartans coming away with a 94-73 win.
High finishers for the Packers Thursday evening included the team’s 200 Medley Relay team of Brent Dahl, Hunter Peters, Lucas Meyers and Zach Evenson, as they took first with a time of 1:45.13, Evenson was second in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:58.73, and Meyers was third for Austin in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:19.53.
Brent Dahl swam to a first-place finish for the Packers in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.40 seconds, Riley Ferguson and Gage Rasmussen claimed the top two spots in 1-Meter Diving Thursday evening, as Ferguson tallied 218.85 points for first, while Rasmussen toaled 161.15 points for second, Lucas Meyers was third in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:01.15, Hunter Peters was third for the Packers in the 100 Freestyle with a final time of 53.92 seconds, and Brent Dahl claimed first place in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:02.64. Austin’s 200 Freestyle Relay team of Zach Evenson, Zach Voogd, Noah Holt and Lucas Meyers took second Thursday night with a final time of 1:40.29, Hunter Peters and Zach Evenson went 1-2 in the 100 Breaststroke with times of 1:07.23 and 1:14.76, respectively, and the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Brent Dahl, Noah Holt, Simon Pischke and Hunter Peters were first Thursday night with a time of 3:51.39.
Austin returns to action in Rochester Tuesday evening versus the John Marshall Rockets, with the action scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
