The Austin Packers boys tennis team took to I-90 Monday for a Big 9 Conference dual with Albert Lea Monday, and it was the Packers sweeping the Tigers 7-0.

Austin lost only four games in the four singles matches, as both Cole Hebrink at No. 1 and Nathan Danielson at No. 2 were winners over William Isaacson and Jacob Luoma, respectively, 6-0, 6-0, and both Michael Garry at No. 3 singles and Micah Peterson at No. 4 were 6-1, 6-1 winners over Kuol Dual and Lukas Miller of the Tigers.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Marcos Castro and Quinton Grimley of Austin outdueled Gunnar Hardinson and Cyrus Schmidt of Albert Lea in three sets, 4-6, 6-1 and 10-4, Kyler Flanders and Lucas Rust of the Packers downed Parker Munson and Levi Munson of the Tigers 6-1, 6-4, and Samuel Mata and Gavin Matyas of Austin swept Axel Erickson and Clayton Bibus of Albert Lea in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.

The Packers return home today (Tuesday) for a non-conference matchup with Stewartville, with the action at the Wescott Sports Complex tennis courts scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
