Austin Packers Dance Team competes at Delano Invitational Saturday

The Austin Packers Dance Team competed at the 15-team Delano Invitational Saturday, and in the high-kick competition, the Packers garnered 386 out of a possible 500 points for an average of 77.2, which was good for second place.

Mound/Westonka was first with 399 points out of a possible 500 for an average of 79.8, while Orono, Totino-Grace and Faribault rounded out the top five.

In the jazz competition, the Packers earned 322 out of a possible 500 points for an average of 64.4, which was good for ninth place in the 15-team field.  Benilde/St. Margaret’s was first with an average score of 79, followed by Orono, Mound/Westonka, Totino-Grace and Holy Family in the top five.

Austin will host their own show this Saturday, February 4th, and the section meet is scheduled to take place the following Saturday, February 11th at Kasson/Mantorville High School.
