Austin Packers dance team competes at Totino-Grace Invitational

The Austin Packers dance team competed at Totino Grace Saturday, and varsity high-kick took first place with a ranking point total of six.  Sauk Rapids/Rice was second with a ranking point total of seven, followed by host Totino-Grace in third at 8.5, Benilde/St. Margaret’s in fourth at 9, Simley in fifth with a ranking point total of 15.5, followed by Roccori, Marshall, Albert Lea, Cretin-Derham-Hall and Pine City.  In the Jazz competition, Austin finished eighth with a ranking point total of 21.  Benilde/St. Margaret’s took first in the competition after winning via a tiebreaker over Sauk Rapids/Rice and Totino-Grace.

Austin will be competing at Big 9 Dance Meet in Faribault Saturday, with tickets going on sale at 11:00 a.m. that morning.
