Austin Packers Dance Team competes in high-kick at State Class AA Dance Meet Saturday

The Austin Packers Dance Team was at Target Center in downtown Minneapolis Saturday to try to defend their Class AA high-kick title from last season at the State Dance Meet, and it was the Packers advancing out of the preliminary round with Orono, Benilde/St. Margaret’s, Section 1AA foe Faribault, Totino-Grace and Mound-Westonka to dance in the finals.  In the final round, it was Mound-Westonka claiming the Class AA high-kick title, followed by Totino-Grace in second place and Orono in third.  In the jazz competition, it was Orono claiming the Class AA title, followed by Benilde/St. Margaret’s in second, and Mound-Westonka earned a third-place finish.

Congratulations to Austin, who competed at the State Dance Meet for a staggering 21st straight time this season!
