The Austin Packers girls’ basketball team, the No. 2 team in the state in Class AAA in the last Associated Press poll were looking to keep their record unblemished Tuesday evening as they played host to the Rochester Century Panthers at Ove Berven Gym.  Senior guard Hope Dudycha tallied 20 points to lead three Packers in double figures as Austin downed Century 58-42.

Besides Dudycha’s 20 points, forward Olivia Walsh was also in double figures in scoring with 13 points, Emma Dudycha added 11 points, Reanna Schmitt scored seven points, Cassidy Shute chipped in five points and Mya Walters added two points in the winning effort for the Packers, who now lead Mankato East by a half-game atop the Big 9 Conference at 5-0, and they are 6-0 overall on the season.

The Packers and Cougars are scheduled to play in Mankato Thursday evening in a game recently postponed due to weather.  Varsity tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
