Austin Packers girls’ golf competes at Big 9 meet

The Austin Packers girls’ golf team was in action at the Faribault Golf and Country Club for the Big 9 meet Tuesday, and it was Northfield taking first in the 11-team tournament with a 370, followed by Rochester John Marshall in a distant second at 390.  Winona was third with a team total of 395, Albert Lea was close behind in fourth with a 397, Red Wing took fifth with a 401, Mankato West was sixth with a team total of 406, Rochester Century took seventh with a 423, Owatonna came in eighth a stroke back at 424, Rochester Mayo was ninth at 442, followed by the host Falcons in 10th at 454 and Austin was 11th with a team total of 482.

Mallory Brown shot the low round for the Packers Tuesday with a 110, Anna Kossman carded a 123, Anita Rao fired a 124, Allie Alm finished with a 125 and Izzy Sellers shot a round of 130.
Austin returns to action next Tuesday, June 1st in the Section 1AAA meet at Cannon Falls Golf Club, with the players scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. that morning.
