Austin Packers girls’ golf falls in opener at Albert Lea Monday

The Austin Packers girls’ golf team teed it up for the first time this 2021 season at Wedgewood Cove Golf Course in Albert Lea Monday in a Big 9 Conference dual meet, and it was the Tigers using two sub-90 rounds to defeat the Packers 393-529.
Mallory Brown shot the low round for Austin Monday with a 104, Anna Kossman fired a 139, Izzy Sellers finished with a score of 140 and Allie Alm shot a round of 146. Whitney Mullenbach shot the low round for the meet for Albert Lea with an 83, and teammate Alyssa Jensen added an 89 in the win.
Austin returns to action on Tuesday, April 20th in a Big 9 triangular in Owatonna with the Huskies and Red Wing at Owatonna Country Club.
