Austin Packers gymnastics team downs Red Wing 129.300-119.025 in Big 9 action Friday night

The Austin Packers gymnastics team traveled to Red Wing for their final Big 9 Conference dual meet of the regular season Friday evening, and it was the Packers coming away with a 129.300-119.025 win.

Austin claimed spots 2, 3 and 4 in the all-around, with Kiki Rodriguez taking second place with a total score of 33.900, Hanna Fritz was third with a score of 32.025 and Katelynn Klouse took fourth with an all-around score of 30.650.  Rodriguez was first in the vault Friday night with a score of 9.250, Klouse was third for the Packers with a score of 8.725 and Fritz was fourth with a score of 8.700, and Rodriguez was second on the uneven bars with a final score of 7.775, while Fritz was third with a score of 7.025.  Fritz was first on the balance beam for Austin Friday with a score of 8.475, Rodriguez was second with a score of 8.400 and Reese Norton was fourth with a score of 8.200, and Norton was second on the floor exercise for the Packers with a final score of 8.725, Rodriguez was third with a score of 8.475 and Callie McCrae was fourth with a score of 8.450.

Austin returns to action at the Big 9 Conference meet coming up Saturday at Friedell Middle School in Rochester, with the action slated to start at 11:00 a.m.
