Austin Packers gymnasts compete at State Class A Individual meet Saturday

Three members of the Austin Packers gymnastics team competed in the State Class A Individual meet at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in downtown St. Paul Saturday, and it was junior Hannah Fritz competing for the Packers on the vault and the balance beam, where she took 44th on the vault with an average score of 8.5625 for two vaults, and Fritz took 41st on the beam with an average score of 8.15.

Kiki Rodriguez and Reese Norton, a pair of freshmen both competed in the floor exercise for Austin, and it was Rodriguez taking 20th for the Packers with an average final score of 9.1875, and Norton took 31st with an average score of 9.0875.

Reagan Kelly, a junior from Watertown-Mayer/Mound-Westonka was first in the all-around in Class A with a final score of 38.425, with senior teammate Anna Mielke in second with an overall score of 38.3125.  Watertown-Mayer/Mound-Westonka also took first in the team competition with a final score of 145.750, with Mankato West from the Big 9 Conference second at 145.600.  Section 1 representative Byron was eighth with a score of 137.725.
