Austin woman injured in one-vehicle accident on I-90 in Mower County early Wednesday morning

An Austin woman was injured in a one-vehicle, rollover-type accident on Interstate 90 in Mower County early Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2002 Chevy Avalanche being driven by 31-year old Stormmie Lynette Corporon of Austin was traveling eastbound on I-90 at approximately 6:24 a.m. Wednesday morning when her vehicle left the snow and ice-covered roadway and rolled into the ditch near milepost 194 in Grand Meadow Township.

Corporon sustained non-life threatening injuries, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.  The State Patrol reported that Corporon was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Meadow Ambulance and the Dexter Fire Department all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene early Wednesday morning.
