Austin woman injured in one-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 in Freeborn County Monday morning

An Austin woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on southbound Interstate 35 in Freeborn County early Monday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2014 Chevy Cruze being driven by 44-year old Laura Lynn Moen of Austin was southbound on Interstate 35 at approximately 7:07 a.m. Monday morning when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow and ice-covered road and went into the median cables nearly milepost 16 in Bancroft Township.

Moen suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Albert Lea for treatment.  The State Patrol indicated that Moen was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the Clarks Grove Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance both assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene.
