Austin woman sentenced to supervised probation on 2018 felony drug possession charge

An Austin woman facing a felony drug possession charge in Mower County District Court stemming from an incident that took place in August of 2018 has been sentenced to supervised probation.

45-year old Kelly Jo Janning was sentenced Thursday to five years of supervised probation and 30 hours of community work service for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge.  A 19-month prison sentence was stayed for five years if Janning complies with the terms of her probation, and she was convicted on the charge in December of 2018 after pleading guilty in August of that year.
