Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team moves to 10-0 with 60-47 win over Maple River Friday evening

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms boys basketball team was looking to move to 10-0 on the season at Maple River in a Gopher Conference matchup Friday evening, and it was the Blossoms outscoring the Eagles 29-18 in the second half on their way to a 60-47 win.

Brady Kittleson led all scorers Friday night with 27 points, Gabe Hein was also in double figures for the Blossoms with 18 points, Zach Hein added seven points, Jacob Pauly totaled six points and Gabe Staloch tallied two points as BP held a slim 31-29 lead at the half, but a big factor in the win was the Blossoms shooting 15 free throws in the contest to only four for Maple River, with Blooming Prairie sinking 11 of those free throws on their way to the win.

With the win, the Awesome Blossoms are now 10-0 on the season and 5-0 in the Gopher Conference, and the Blossoms will be back in action in Dodge Center Tuesday night versus the Triton Cobras in the Gopher Conference.   You’ll hear the game on AM 1480 KAUS, with the pre-game show getting underway at 7:00 p.m., and the tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
