Blooming Prairie softball opens 2021 season with 10-0 victory versus J-W-P

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms softball team played host to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton in a non-conference game to open the 2021 season, and starting pitcher Allison Krohnberg fired a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts as the Blossoms blanked the Bulldogs 10-0.
Bobbie Bruns led a nine-hit attack for Blooming Prairie by going 2-3, with a solo homer, two RBI’s, a stolen base and three runs scored, Lauren Schammel was 2 for 3 with a run scored, Rachel Winzenburg was 1-3 with a double, a run scored and three more knocked in, Alivia Schneider was 1-3 with a RBI and a run scored, Melanie Winzenburg was also 1-3 in the game with a RBI, Maren Forystek went 1 for 2 with a triple and scored two runs, and Macy Lembke also tallied a hit for the Blossoms, who scored two in the first, then cracked the game wide open with four in the third, followed by two more in the fourth and two in the fifth to invoke the 10-run rule.
Blooming Prairie is scheduled to return to action this afternoon at United South Central at 4:30 p.m.
