Blooming Prairie volleyball falls to Maple River 3-1 Thursday night

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms volleyball team was at home Thursday night for a matchup with Gopher Conference rival Maple River, and it was the visitors coming away with a 3-1 win 25-16, 25-15, 23-25 and 25-19.

Haven Carlson and Abbly Hefling led the Blossoms offensivley with eight kills apiece, plus Carlson led the squad in block with seven, and she added a dig and a set assist as well, while Hefling added four blocks, an ace serve and three digs.  Anna Pauly chipped in six kills, four blocks and one dig, Grace Krejci contributed four kills, one block and led BP in digs with 12, Macy Lembke topped the team in set assists with 14, plus she added 11 digs, two kills, one block and one ace serve, Josie Hoffman posted two blocks, eleven digs, one set assist, one kill and one ace serve and Lexi Steckelberg added eight set assists, two ace serves and three digs.

With the loss, Blooming Prairie is now 0-5 in the Gopher Conference and 2-10 overall on the season, and the Blossoms return to action next Monday, September 27th at Dover-Eyota, with the varsity match set to start at 7:15 p.m.
