Brownsdale man injured in two semi accident on Highway 60 in Wantonwan County Thursday evening
A Brownsdale man was injured in an accident between two semis on Highway 60 in Wantonwan County Thursday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2023 Peterbuilt semi being driven by 39-year old Corey Lee Stewart of Brownsdale was traveling west on Highway 60 at approximately 8:41 p.m. Thursday evening when his vehicle collided with a 2018 Freighliner semi being driven by 50-year old Iryna Kozachuk of Girard, Ohio, which was crossing Highway 60 at the time of the crash.
Stewart sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in St. James for treatment, while Kozachuk was uninjured. The State Patrol indicated that both parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and the Wantonwan County Sheriff’s Office, the St. James Fire Department, and the Madelia Police Department all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Thursday evening.
