“Good Girl” + “Bad Reputation”: How Carrie Underwood Bonded With Rocker Joan Jett for CMA Fest Special

The unlikely pairing of Carrie Underwood and Rock & Roll icon Joan Jett will make magic on the CMA Fest stage this Sunday night!
Underwood spoke about rehearsing with Jett and how much admiration she has for her music and her artistry, “I’m a fan on every level, like personally, professionally, musically, and [I’m] honored that she has heard my name before, and agreed to come sing with me,” Carrie said about Jett.
Underwood said that Jett was concerned about the country audience not knowing her songs and her push to make sure she gave the best performance for the special, “I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course, they know the songs! I know it’s not your audience, but it is because they’re like me, they’ve heard your songs,” Underwood told Jett.
Carrie Underwood and Joan Jett will perform hits like, “I Hate Myself for Loving You,” “Bad Reputation,” and “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” this Sunday on ABC.
