Dodge Center woman injured in two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Wednesday morning

A Dodge Center woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 218 in Mower County Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2011 Honda CRV being driven by 23-year old Courtney Mae Dohrmann of Dodge Center was traveling eastbound on Mower County Road 1 at approximately 6:39 a.m. Wednesday morning when she collided with a 2015 Ford F150 pickup being driven by 48-year old Brian Alexander Hamlin of Austin, who was traveling north on Highway 218 at the time of the collision in Udolpho Township.

Dohrmann suffered non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Austin for treatment, while Hamlin was uninjured.  The State Patrol noted that the roads were covered in snow and ice at the time of the accident, and they added that both parties were wearing their seatbelts.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, plus Blooming Prairie Fire and Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Wednesday morning.
