Drink Gin And Tonics For These Health Benefits
Despite what doctors tell you, there’s at least one adult beverage that could potentially be good for you. In moderation, of course!
Looking to shed some weight? Don’t want a massive hangover the next day? Trying to fight off malaria? Drink a gin and tonic. It does this and more, according to The Sun.
1) A G&T clocks in at just 64 calories; far less than the 182 in a pint of beer or the pound-packing 228 in a glass of white wine.
2) Gin is made from juniper berries, which are full of vitamin C. Even if the distilling process dilutes that benefit, a squeeze of lime does the trick.
3) As long as you don’t overdo it, chances are you won’t feel wrecked following a night of downing G&Ts. That’s because clear liquors like gin (and vodka) don’t contain tannins, which can contribute to headaches.
