Apple Cider Pressing Day

Minnesota is known for fruit crops, and farmers often had orchards, especially apple trees. Windfalls and culls were used to make cider, “the farmer’s champagne.”

Assist the Meighens and their hired hands as the fruit of Johnny Appleseed fills the hopper of a small hand-operated cider press.

Samples of cider and fresh-baked apple pies complete the experience.
