Experts predict gas prices to climb to just over $3.00 per gallon for 4th of July weekend

As we head into the 4th of July weekend, experts are predicting that gas prices will climb to just over $3.00 a gallon.  Patrick DeHaan, Senior Petroleum Analyst with the website gasbuddy.com spoke with KAUS News and stated that gas prices have been rising due to increased demand, and the supply still lagging due to the COVID-19 pandemic…

DeHaan was asked if the supply of petroleum will be increasing anytime soon…

DeHaan went on to give some insight as to why gas prices can vary greatly from county to county in Minnesota….

The current average price for a gallon of gas in Mower County is $3.05. The county with the highest average price for a gallon of gas is currently Kandiyohi County in west central Minnesota at $3.07, while the lowest average price is in Douglas County, also in west central Minnesota at $2.79.  The statewide average for a gallon of gas is currently at $2.97, while the national average currently sits at $3.12.
