Gas prices expected to remain steady heading into Memorial Day weekend

Good news for motorists planning to hit the road over the Memorial Day weekend. Triple-A Minnesota’s Meredith Mitts:

According to the website gasbuddy.com, the current average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Mower County is $3.56.  The county with the highest average price for a gallon of unleaded is currently Lake County in the northeast corner of the state at $3.67, while the county with the lowest average price is currently Cass County in north-central Minnesota at $3.31.  The statewide average for a gallon of unleaded today is $3.51, down 63 cents from this time last year, while the national average is at $3.55.
