Here’s how to help those affected by the California wildfires

Wildfires continue to burn in Northern California.

Over 40 people have been confirmed dead and firefighters have lost their homes while helping to save others.

If you’re looking for a way to support the efforts of the firefighers in the area, as well as those whose lives have been changed forever by these fires, please consider donating via our Alpha Media microsite through the Red Cross.

You can also support the firefighters and their efforts by giving to this GoFundMe campaign (or text ffstrong to 41444)

A 9-year-old Oakland A’s fan in northern California – Loren Smith – lost all his baseball memorabilia when his house burned down in the fires this month. Now people are sending him their memorabilia, and several teams and players are doing it too.

If you want to send something, the A’s posted an address online. (Send it to: The Oakland Athletics, Attn: A’s Community for Loren, 7000 Coliseum Way, Oakland, CA 94621.)
