Highway 105 project from Austin to the Iowa border completed

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that the Highway 105 project from Turtle Creek in Austin to the Iowa border was completed on October 20th. 

Resurfacing work began on August 22nd from the Iowa border to Turtle Creek in Austin. Work also included a storm sewer replacement at Highway 105 and 22nd Avenue SW in Austin. Other work on the project included accessibility improvements on sidewalks, such as curb cuts. Crews also conducted storm sewer and drainage work on the 11-mile work zone.

Officials with MnDOT District 6 in Rochester stated that the construction work should provide a smoother ride on the road, improve sidewalks for pedestrians, and they added that it should also provide better drainage along the road from Austin to Iowa.
