Individuals from Austin Packers gymnastics team compete at State Class A Individual Meet in St. Paul Saturday

Individuals from the Austin Packers gymnastics team competed in the State Class A Individual Meet at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul Saturday, and on the vault, sophomore Kiki Rodriguez took 22nd with a score of 9.2875, and senior Hannah Fritz was 46th with a total score of 8.3735.

Rodriguez also competed for the Packers on the floor exercise, an event in which she was returning to state, and she finished 18th with a score of 9.2500, and Fritz was again competing for Austin on the uneven bars, where she finished 48th with a score of 7.0750.  Sophomore Katelynn Klouse was also in action for the Packers on the uneven bars and the balance beam Saturday, and Klouse came in 42nd on the bars with a score of 8.0500, and she was 23rd on the balance beam with a final score of 8.9625.

Section 7 champion Big Lake took home the team title in Class A with a final score of 147.650, and New Prague edged out St. Cloud 146.400-146.275 to claim the Class AA team title Friday.
