Outlaw country singer C.W. McCall has passed away. He was 93.

C.W.’s biggest hit is the ’70s classic “Convoy”, which sold over two million copies.

Two other songs reached the Billboard Hot 100, “Old Home Filler-Up an’ Keep on a-Truckin’ Cafe”, as well as “There Won’t Be No Country Music (There Won’t Be No Rock ‘n’ Roll)”.

McCall was born Billie Fries on November 15, 1928, in Audubon, Iowa. He died following complications of cancer.
