Job growth in Minnesota continued in February

Minnesota’s job growth continued in the month of February.  DEED Commissioner Steve Grove:

Mower County reported a labor force of 20,514 workers in February, with 19,640 workers employed for an unemployment rate of 4.3%, down from 4.6% in January.  In other unemployment rates for February from around our KAUS listening area, Freeborn County saw an unemployment rate of 4.4%, Fillmore County was at 5.1%, Steele County featured a 4.6% rate of unemployment in February, Dodge County was at 5.2%, Olmsted County saw a 3.9% rate of unemployment in February and Waseca County was at 6%,.  Minnesota’s labor force participation rate decreased from 68% to 67.8%, dropping back to where it sat in April 2020.
