Look to the sky this Saturday for Austin’s Star Party

As a part of the 3rd annual Minnesota Statewide Star Party, Austin’s Sola Fide observatory will host a night filled with astronomy fun and games this weekend.

Kelly Bahl, Outreach Specialist J.C. Hormel Nature Center, talked about the event with John Wright:

This year’s Statewide Star Party theme, “Shared Sky, Open Minds,” will include a number of activities that reflect on cultural astronomy and encourage appreciation of our shared skies through various cultural lenses.

All ages are invited to explore constellations and celestial objects in hands-on activities with J.C. Hormel Nature Center staff and volunteers from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday April 9th, with sky observation from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM (pending clear skies; if skies are cloudy activities will relocate to the Nature Center classrooms from 7-9 PM).
