Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball upends Triton 66-60

The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys’ basketball team entertained the Triton Cobras from the Gopher Conference in a non-conference matchup at All Saints Arena Monday evening, and it was junior guard Buay Koak registering yet another double-double with 28 points and 14 rebounds, plus he added six assists, one steal and four blocked shots to help lead the Athletics to a 66-60 win.

Lyle/Pacelli shot 40.7% overall from the field for the game, plus they drained eight 3-point field goals and edged out Triton on the boards 33-31 in the win.  Besides Koak’s 28 points, guard Jake Truckenmiller swished six of LP’s eight 3-pointers in the game on his way to 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and five of the team’s 15 steals in the game, Mac Nelson added six points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal, Trey Anderson chipped in five points and five steals and Landon Meyer scored two points for the Athletics, who earned their 21st win of the season against only four losses with the win.

Lyle/Pacelli closes out the regular season at home Friday night versus LeRoy/Ostrander, and you’ll hear the game live on AM 1480 KAUS from All Saints Arena, with the pre-game show at 7:00 p.m., and tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
