Lyle/Pacelli girls’ basketball falls to Rushford-Peterson 65-47 Monday evening

The Lyle/Pacelli girls’ basketball team was looking to get on the winning track at home Monday evening against the Rushford-Peterson Trojans from the Three Rivers Conference, and although Alana Rogne poured in 29 points for the Athletics, Rushford-Peterson’s Kaylee Ruberg erupted for 38 points to help the Trojans down LP 65-47.

Rushford-Peterson led  35-16 at the half on their way to the win, and besides Rogne’s 29 points, Kearah Schafer was also in double figures with 11 points, and Avari Drennan, Kirsten Koopal and Lisandra Ortiz all added two points apiece for the Athletics, who fall to 0-4 on the season with the loss.

Lyle/Pacelli is right back in action tonight (Tuesday) at home against Bethlehem Academy in a Southeast Conference matchup, with the varisty tip-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
